Qualitative Health Risk Assessment

Open Range Software facilitates the creation of a written exposure assessment plan using the CTS Health and Safety Surveys Program as a central database for this activity.

Basic Characterization. The CTS Health and Safety Surveys Program is used to characterize potential hazards in the workplace. At a minimum this will result in an inventory of all potential hazards for your workplace, including hazardous chemicals, biological agents, physical hazards, ergonomic concerns, etc. Personal and area monitoring data may be captured to quantify potential exposures and assist in your characterization.

Exposure Assessment. Using the CTS Health and Safety Surveys Program you will assess all potential exposures in your workplace. Exposure assessments may be developed for individual workers, Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs), or other worker groups (e.g., process-job-task). You will use quantitative and/or qualitative data along with your professional judgment to develop exposure profiles and determine if additional hazard controls are needed and prioritize your recommendations to management through Remedial Action Plans (RAPs). If more information is needed to evaluate exposures the program will help you prioritize and plan your sampling campaigns.

Reporting and Recordkeeping. Easily generate worker exposure histories, documentation of compliance with occupational exposure limits, exposure assessment reports, and other relevant reports to support and manage your exposure assessment programs.

Benefits of the CTS Safety and Health Surveys Program include:

  • Identify, evaluate, and control health risks at one or more sites.
  • Easily record personal and area exposure monitoring results (air, noise, bulk, wipe, etc.).
  • Generate customizable employee notification letters.
  • Demonstrate compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Prioritize hazard control and sample planning activities.
  • Communicate health risks to workers, health professionals, management, and auditors.
  • Track and manage IH equipment and calibration.
  • Facilitate medical surveillance enrollment.
  • Quickly respond to exposure data requests and inquiries.
  • Implement AIHA's Exposure Assessment Strategy.
